William E. Summers, 86, of Kingman Rt 2, died Saturday March 13, 1971 at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Danville. He had been admitted earlier in the day. Born Feb 20, 1884 in Jackson Twp, Fountain County, he was the son of Robert and Harriet Nolen Summers. He was married Dec 1909 to Bessie Ann Smith who died Jan 1, 1968. Mr. Summers was a life resident of Fountain County and had farmed all of his life. He was a member of the West Liberty Church of Christ. Survivors include 3 sons, Paul H. of Covington Rt 3, Harold of Veedersburg Rt 3 and Gerald Kingman Route 2; a sister, Mrs. Ula Harmon of Covington Rt 1; 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. He also was preceded in death by two brothers. Services Tuesay at Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home, Rev. Alfred Dobbs and Rev. Michael Sabens officiated. Burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
